This site was the authors attempt at looking at both sides of the issue, what with the British believing that the farmer had deserved the arrest warrant that they where taking him to the British Columbia claiming that he shot a $100 dollar pig, and he was willing to pay only a dollar(the pig had been rooting in his garden)
